Process before software
A broken process in a new ERP is still a broken process — just faster and harder to ignore. We fix the workflow first.
About Qanodoo
Qanodoo is an Odoo consultancy built for Canadian businesses that need their ERP to match how they actually work — not the other way around. We're a small, focused team that would rather get five projects right than rush through fifty.
Who we are
Qanodoo started because we kept seeing the same pattern — businesses invest in an ERP, the modules get switched on, training happens, and six months later the team is back in spreadsheets. The system met the contract, but it didn't meet the business.
We decided to work differently. Before touching a single Odoo setting, we sit with the people who quote, purchase, ship, and reconcile. We learn where things slow down, where data gets re-entered, and what actually keeps someone at the office past five o'clock.
Then — and only then — we open Odoo and start building something that sticks.
We're not trying to be the biggest Odoo partner in the country. We'd rather be the one your operations manager actually recommends to someone else.
What we believe
A broken process in a new ERP is still a broken process — just faster and harder to ignore. We fix the workflow first.
Every custom module is a future upgrade cost. We use what Odoo already does well before writing a single line of code.
Go-live is not the finish line. If your team isn't using the system three months later, the project didn't succeed.
Clear scope, clear assumptions, clear exclusions — written down before the work starts. If something changes, we talk about it first.
Our approach
We've learned these the hard way — by watching what goes wrong on ERP projects and doing the opposite.
We sit with your warehouse team, your sales reps, your accountant. Discovery is questions and whiteboards, not slide decks.
Before we touch Odoo, processes are agreed in a document your team can actually read and challenge.
You see a working system regularly, not a status update in an email. If something feels off, we catch it early.
We validate with the purchase orders, exceptions and month-end routines your team actually deals with — not sample data.
The first weeks live is when the real questions come up. We plan for them, because they always happen.
The Odoo apps Canadian businesses tend to need first:
Why work with us
No layers of account management between your question and the consultant configuring your system. When you call, you get someone who knows your setup.
Why a setting was chosen, what was customized, what the next developer needs to know. If we get hit by a bus, you're still fine.
You own your data and your system. We earn the next project by being useful, not by making it hard to leave.
GST/HST/QST, multi-company structures, bilingual documents, Purolator and Canada Post — the things that matter here.
We'll pick the reliable, straightforward solution over the impressive one that needs babysitting every week.
Agreed channels, agreed response windows, agreed scope. No vague promises of "we'll always be around."
Our story
The answer, almost every time, was the same. The people building the system didn't spend enough time understanding the business using it. Requirements got translated into modules, but nobody checked whether the daily work actually got easier.
Qanodoo was founded on a straightforward idea: if you understand the business first and the software second, the implementation just works better. Not perfectly — nothing ever is — but measurably, noticeably better.
We chose Odoo because it's modular, open, and honest about what it does. You start with what you need, you add what you grow into, and you're never stuck paying for software nobody uses.
We're early. We're still small. But every project we take on gets our full attention — and that's something we never plan to outgrow.

Careers
We're always keeping an eye out for Odoo consultants, developers and business analysts who get just as interested in understanding a warehouse operation as they do in building a clean Python module.
We're remote-first, timezone-flexible across Canada, and we don't do pointless meetings. If that sounds reasonable, we should talk.

Next step
No pitch deck, no pressure. Just a conversation about where your operations are today and whether Odoo makes sense for what comes next.
